5 on Friday

ONE.  It's raining, it's pouring . . .  and I love it.  TL and I were supposed to be on our way to LA today to visit some of my girlfriends, but due to the big storms hitting most of the state, we decided it was safest to stay home instead of driving down.  I am extremely bummed out because I miss them so much, but I must admit - this rain is just what we need and we are finally getting some green vegetation by our house.

TWO.  I went and visited my sister earlier this week so Andie and Stella (my niece) could have a little play time.  Stella is 6 months old, and it was so fun to see the girls interact with each other.  It is so much fun to have girls close in age, and I know it's going to keep getting more fun as they get older.

THREE.  Last Friday we went to visit some of TL's family in the Bay Area for the day.  Andie loves her Uncle Joe and lights up when she sees him. . . and I am pretty sure he is smitten over her, too ;)  It was a beautiful day in Walnut Creek.  We made a drive up to the top of Mt. Diablo, and spent time with his cousins and their two little guys.  We had dinner and watched the kids all play together and it was really nice to be there with them.  How cute is this picture?  We have a similar one from when Andie was 6 weeks old and we went to visit.

FOUR.  Teething - I know I mentioned it last week, but sweet baby Andie grew her first tooth.  Since then, I know she has been in some discomfort because more must be on their way.  I know everyone has lots of ideas of what to do to help.  So far, a little Tylenol and cold toys or food is all we have tried. Any other suggestions?  She's doing pretty well with it, so I can't complain, but I feel so bad that she is in pain.
{poor baby was uncomfortable getting that tooth!}

Poor baby girl teething sucks. I know moms soak a wet cloth or rag and put in the fridge to make it a little cold and the babies chew on it. I also believe in the amber teething necklace my daughter wears one but I remove it at night. A few weeks ago I had a horrible tooth pain I took her necklace and laid it on my cheek and the pounding pressure went away within seconds and that annoying cold sensation went away within ten minutes and I fell asleep. I truly believe they work!!

OK. That picture of her with her teething Popsicle is precious. You can see how uncomfortable she is, but it's still absolutely adorable!!! I want to snuggle her. HAHAHAHA

Teething is tough. It's so hard to see them in pain! Love that quote and happy weekend! :)

we were definite fans of tylenol for the whole teething issue. Elyse never seemed really bothered by it, but poor baby, I know she didn't feel good!

Get the raspberry teether!!! It was recommended to me, and I got one for my little girl, and she loves it! She just popped 2 teeth, and she's 7 months old.

Andie looks so miserable in that popsicle picture. I hope she feels better soon.

Teething sucks! We tried a lot and while we were able to help him during the day (he just always had something in his mouth) we never found something that would help him at night. He still wakes up a lot in pain :(. Good luck!

Poor little Andie - hope she has a pain free ride into teeth. SJ was a bit uncomfortable but never screaming or sleepless nights.

She is such a doll and getting so big! I hate teething.. we are still going through it, but it has eased up a bit. It's the first couple that are the worst and then around 15 months when they get their molars. You and your sister are going to have a blast with those two, it is so fun having cousins close in age. I saw your post on instagram, kind of the only way I tend to keep up these days sounds like she is all over the place like A. I can't keep her still anymore and she is into everything!! ;)

We've been hearing about all the rain you guys have been getting - but I know you guys need it! I hope the teething goes okay - looks like she at least likes her Popsicle!
