The half way point.

Hey y'all.  {I wish I was a southern belle}

I can't believe it's July already.  We've reached the half way point of 2012 - time is zooming by.

TL and I have had a good first half of the year - it's been busy with work and we've been so lucky to have the chance to go to Hawaii and visit with so many family and friends.  Things have also happened this year that have made us stop and think "isn't it crazy how much your life can change in a year, a day, a moment."

We've just recently decided that we want to to take another trip later this year... when I was doing our  recap of Europe last year many of you were guessing which cities we were going to next.  So... can you guess where we're headed?  I'll give a free ad spot on the sidebar if you are the first person that can name 3 of the 5 cities in the comments.  No hints. ;)

Even though we are several weeks away from taking off, I have already started thinking about what I want to pack.  I just recently heard about a new pair of shoes that are supposidly very comfy for exploring in, and I think I want to buy them.  They're called Superga Sneakers - aka "the people's shoes of Italy".  Do you have a pair?  Recommend them?

I also just recently purchased the "Join the Crew" black necklace from The Red Dress Boutique.  I've ordered a few necklaces from them so far and never had any complaints - but this time the necklace came with a missing bead.  I put it on for a few minutes before noticing, then I felt another one of the beads fall off.  I am not sure if I got a bad one, but it really bummed me out.  I know it's not $200, but it was still $50 and I was hoping it would last me a while.  I contacted them and they are sending me a replacement bead.  {See it?}  What was weird was when I was looking on their website one of the models was wearing this necklace with the bead missing in the same exact spot.

I love all of the outfit combinations in these few items.  I need to work on bringing less but making more of what I bring along.  Does anyone hate packing as much as me?

I hope the first half of your year was great - and if it wasn't... it's a fresh start to the second half. :)

Happy Monday!

That stinks about your necklace! I got mine from ebay for $15 and free shipping and it was in perfect shape.

I am also bad at packing. I like to bring options, but then end up not wearing half the stuff anyway. I'm going to cape cod later this month and am going try try to pack better :)

Exciting!! I enjoyed reading your Europe recaps and seeing all the great pictures. I'm sure this next trip will not disappoint either!
And yes, I HATE packing for big trips like that. I'm always so afraid that I won't have enough, and then it turns out that I way over-packed. It's always so aggravating!

I had one of mine fall off but it was only $16 bucks and I just put it back on with my jewelry kits.

So excited for this weekend! I am thinking about that packing! :)

I can totally see you in these outfits; perfect colors for you Tracy!!!

I'm not very good at geography, but I think that you & TL may be headed to Greece, Italy or Portugal. I'll throw out Thailand too, since that is where Tommy & Linds are headed :-)

I love your blog!! I just found it and I adore you and your husband.

I just hate when you order something, pay good money for it then it doesn't meet your expectations. I just ordered a necklace similar for $14.99, I haven' received mine yet but everyone says that the quality is great. Here is the link: http://myworld.ebay.com/tian-19582010/?_trksid=p4340.l2559

Still poking about from Blog Stars (there were a lot to get through in one day!) and found you - hi! I HATE packing (mostly because I'm rubbish at it!)Like you, I find it hard to take less and make the most of it - I have to take everything, just in case! As for the cities you are going to - I have no idea where you have been, so I'll say Liverpool, England (where I'm from; Madrid, spain (where I live) and Rome, Italy (where I'd love to go!) Admittedly, it would be bizarre if you planned on those three, but still...!

The year is going by really fast. It doesn't feel like it should already be July. Hope they get a new necklace to you! I hate when stuff like that happens.
