It's Okay to be Thankful Thursday

Last week, Neely from A Complete Waste of Make Up, Amber from Brunch With Amber and myself did our very first It's Okay/Thankful Thursday Mash Up.  So many of you joined in... and it was great reading some of the responses.  Because I was on vacation, I wasn't able to explore as much as I wanted!!
It's Okay that I just got back from Hawaii and haven't unpacked a single thing.  (Except computer and work stuff)

It's Okay that I still need to lay out by the pool and get tan(er).  One week isn't long enough in paradise ;)

It's Okay that it's 100 degrees outside and I still take baths.

It's Okay that I have a large to - do list and I am taking a few minutes to write this up.
I love taking a few minutes out of my week to remind myself of the wonderful things in life that I have to be thankful for.
I am thankful for our air conditioner.  I know it's simple, but so many people can't afford to use theirs or don't have one at all.  It's so miserable being unbearably hot.

I am thankful for the many memories made on the trip to Hawaii with (part of) my family. {recap coming soon}
I am thankful for my friend Melissa... she stayed at our house all week and took care of Maximus & Zeus.  It's always comforting leaving home and knowing someone is here constantly to look over your house and especially your pets.

I am thankful for my job with Hands4Hope.  I feel so blessed to be in a position where I get to work with a passionate and determined Executive Director, and hundreds of compassionate, sweet, and hard working youth.

I am thankful for two amazing sponsors - Trish and MJ - who donated $15.00 to Hands4Hope to put their ad on my blog.  If you're interested... click here.  Please visit their blogs... both of them are great people.

I'm so very thankful to be able to afford turning on the AC. And also to be able to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. And for having our house, and jobs, and a car. We are wishing for more, but some people would be so thankful with what we have!

And how nice of your friend to watch your pets and house! I bet that made the trip more enjoyable!

I'm thankful for air conditioning as well, although because my mother-in-law doesn't have sufficient A/C, she stays with us during the hot hot heat, which is fun....for a while.

Girl, I SO take baths in the heat, cold, you name it. And I typically pour a glass of wine to sip while bathing. Fabulous. :) Looking forward to reading your trip recap! So sweet of your friend to stay at your place to take care of the pups! Gracie is having to get boarded for her first time when we leave for Barbados. My mom usually watches her, but is out of town this time. I toured a few places (seriously) and found a GREAT place, but I'm still nervous to leave her there for a week...

Oh, I agree with you on the heat! That's so wonderful you had someone stay with your dogs! It's hard to leave them.
