Vacation Reads

Many of you asked me what books I read while on our vacation... so I thought I would share.
I can't remember the last time I just sat, relaxed and read a book.  It's been a while!
I read 4 books - and all of them were really good!
This was the first book I read - and I finished it on the 5 hour plane ride over.  I love Danielle Steel novels.  I always love her descriptions and stories behind each character.  Her books are always easy to read, and I always feel like I can at least relate a little bit to one of the characters.  I loved this book - such a fun cast of characters inside, and the meaning behind the book was touching.  I recommend it for sure!
Madeleine Wickham (aka Sophie Kinsella) is a funny and snappy writer.  I thought this book was great. Once again, easy and refreshing to read with a twist of fun characters.  The plot takes place in a little city near London, and I liked the story line.  I thought it was odd because both this book and the Danielle Steel novel had to do with a house.  This is an easy, by the pool summer read!
I didn't think I was going to finish both books within the first two days of my vacation, so with nothing else to read, I was limited to the small selection of books in our hotel gift shop.  I've never read J.A. Jance before, but this book was good.  A lot of the story takes place in Sacramento and surrounding areas.  I definitely recommend it and I liked it a lot because it was different than the first two books I read.
This was the last book I read.  It's supposed to be a thriller, but I didn't find it that thrilling.  I recommend it, but it was probably my least favorite of all the books I read.  It's basically about a young superstar who has a double, or stand in, who goes to events as her when she is too drugged out to attend.  It gives an interesting glance inside superstardom and the paparazzi, although I am not sure how much truth there is to it!

Any other great books you think I need to get my eyes on?
I am trying to keep reading - it's always good for me to feel like I can escape to a book :)

Also... thank you for the compliments on my dress in the last post.  It's from H&M, and I got it a few weeks ago!  We had a great time on our trip and feel so lucky to have gotten to go to Kauai again... what a gorgeous place!!

Thanks for the suggestions, they sound like good vacation reads. I'm reading Unbroken right now. It's really good - not my typical read, it's about a WWII pilot who was shot down but I'm really enjoying it!
