Pinterest & An itchy pup

Unfortunately I have been sucked into pinterest.  I absolutely love it, and I never thought I would.

My favorite thing to look at are quotes, room decor, clothing, oh, just everything!
I thought I would share a few things that caught my eye.
{looks cozy.}
{i've got the travel bug}
{I really want a pair of red hunter rain boots!!}
 {love this - color and the braids}
{i love this.}

all images via pinterest.

It's a rainy & gloomy fall day.  And I'm happy.  Looking forward to some thunderstorms today!
I have to take my sweet pup, Maximus, to the vet (again) because he is having a problem with very itchy & dry skin.  Poor guy can't stop licking his little arm pits.  Luckily, I have been working from home today to keep him company.

Happy Wednesday!!

I, too, have an addiction to all things pinterest. It's kind of scary, I'm not going to lie. I hope Maximus starts to feel better!

Hey Tracy! I've been meaning to call you for forever...we have so much to catch up on! And it's weird your dog has itchies...my dog gets them sometimes too. The vet gave me a medicated shampoo that seems to work...

After following your life through your blog for so long, I finally started my own! I'm still learning though, so I may be calling you for help :)

Just found your blog! :) Loved all the pics - I'm addicted to that Pinterest!!

We have an itchy pup too - can't seem to figure it out! Let me know if you find any cures! We give her fish oil pills for her skin (and they give her a pretty shiny coat too!) and that seems to help quite a bit.

xox!

I have taken my white lab to the vet 4x in the last 3 months because he wont stop licking his paws and itching. It is so sad to watch. We tried oatmeal bath after oatmeal bath, multiple flea treatments, expensive allergy meds, and cortisone shots...and NO luck.

But I have good news! We found something that worked - a GRAIN FREE DIET. Apparently most dogs are allergic to grain and it makes them itchy, but it can take yeeeeears for the allergy to sink in. My dog is 5 years old and we just recently started having itching problems. We switched his diet to Blue Buffalo (http://bluebuffalo.com/?gclid=COyY55-u1KsCFULe4AodLwT0TA) and have seen an ENORMOUS change in his coat, itching, and overall happiness. It is kind of pricey, but totally worth it. You can get it from PetSmart. Ask your doctor about it!

Hope this helps. There is nothing more depressing than not being able to help your miserably itchy pup.

GOOD LUCK!
