We are so lucky to live so close to Lake Tahoe! {Only about an hour and a half drive}
We definitely don't take advantage of going as often as we should.
What makes Tahoe so beautiful {besides the lake & mountains} is all of the little villages & towns surrounding it. Beautiful homes, hotels, & lodges, cozy restaurants, & the people are very friendly.
TL's mom invited us to come along with her and her friends for the night & it was fun!
TL and I ended up driving the long way to see them because it was a perfect sunny day to see the views of the lake.

We rode our bikes around Incline Village & Donner Lake. We also explored around Truckee & Northstar - all of the places are just gorgeous!

i'm so jealous! i've been telling my husband that we should go to lake tahoe when we have the money. for now, it's still a dream :[ but still... SOMEDAY, I'll get to see pretty lake tahoe again!

The boyfriend and I have been to Tahoe once or twice a year since we've been together. We usually go to South Shore though. He gambles and I shop - perfect situation!
I've been to North Shore a few times - it is absolutely gorgeous!

I have never been to Tahoe, but it's where my parents went on their honeymoon, and my friend works in Truckee on her winter breaks! It looks sooo cute, and quaint and lovely with all the nature!

Great post and Tahoe looks SO beautiful. I love going there in the summer, I actually went for NYE last year and it so a lot of fun, just really cold. :) Your pics are great and it looks like a lot of fun riding your bikes around and exploring Truckee. Beautiful pics

I love Tahoe! That was the first trip that I took with my then boyfriend, now husband. It was the first time I saw snow :)

I LOVE Tahoe! I haven't been in years, but when my family went, it was one of the best trips we've been on.
Your pictures are absolutely gorgeous - and I loved seeing all the ones you took on Instagram (such a fun app!). I love how many little trips you and Tim take together - it's so fun to see what you two are up to, and how much you get out to do together! :)

I agree! We definitely don't take advantage as often as we should. I told Scott we need to start "exploring" the Sacramento/Tahoe/SF area more this summer. There's so much to do and as much as I love other places, like Santa Cruz and Tahoe and would love to live there, you can't get the best of all worlds anywhere else!

LOVE Tahoe, it is so pretty. I especially love the fresh air, stars at night and views of the lake/mountains. We have a cabin in Homewood, but don't get up there nearly as much as we would like.

I've been to Tahoe! For our honeymoon a few (11!) years ago. Soooo beautiful. I remember our favorite places to eat were Sprouts and Fresh Catch. Wonder if they are still around? We want to go back too :)
