Hello, February!

January came and went fast - and to be honest, I am okay with that!
I welcome February with big open arms.

Michelle over at Oh, Mishka reminded me that I should keep up with some of my resolutions for the new year and even start a few new ones for Feb.

1. Starting a new job today (woo hoo!) and I am so excited.  I have a good feeling about it and I hope this month starts out with new fresh inspiration so I am a good addition to a team of great people.  {more about the job later}

2.  Keep up with the running/exercising.  It's going well.  Have my 10K on Sunday and I feel pumped and ready!

3. Even though TL is working for Valentine's Day - I hope we do a few special/romantic things this month.  It was the first holiday we ever celebrated together, so I like it. :)

4. Keep working on my book.  I have lost a little inspiration in writing, but I hope to get it back and keep moving forward.  Even if nothing ever comes of it, I know it would feel good to finish!

5. TL and I need to get over and make our wedding album.  Geeze, it's been almost a year and a half.  I need to email our photographer soon and get that started!

Besides the February goals... there are a few things I am looking forward to:

My sister Kelly's 30th Birthday!!  We are going shopping, spending time together with just us girls, and eating good food in the city.  I think it will be a great time celebrating her awesome 30 years :)

TL and I are hosting a Super Bowl Party for the first time at our new house.  It should be a great time... who doesn't love a party? ;)

Starting the Bikram Yoga classes with a few of my girlfriends.  {this should be hilarious, none of us have done it before.  I'll let you know how it goes after Wednesday}

Our book club is reading Little Bee and I am really anxious to get started with reading it!  (Which reminds me, I need to buy it)

[the view from my long run yesterday.  it keeps me going]

{PS. Midwest readers... stay safe in that crazy storm!!}
MJ over at Teaching In Heels posted this yesterday, and it's one of my favorite reminders.

Good luck at the new job!!
I have always wanted to write a book. I am always trying to come up with a direction I want to go. I am hoping one day I will wake up and it will just hit me!!
Also, Bikram is BRUTAL! I tried a class for a month in EG and I am scared to go back LOL. 90 minutes of intense heat was a bit much for me. I honestly teared up a few times. Everyone's experience is different but the intensity of it was a bit much for me!

I love February! It's one of my fav months, one because my b-day is in Feb, and because of V-Day. What can I say? I'm a romantic sap.

I love Yoga, but there are many moves that I simply can't get my body to cooperate, and it makes for some funny moments. ;-)

Just found your blog. Good luck with the new job and running! I'm a runner too and have some motivation issues right now. Six inches of fresh snow outside don't help. Love the photo from your run. I'm from Cali but live in Upstate NY now and I miss it! Can you send some sunshine to the East Coast? : )
Take care,
Jen
My attempt at a new blog...check it out if you get bored. : )

Oh new job! Hope it all goes well and you love it!

I've never heard of Bikram Yoga so you'll have to do a blog post about it!

And that view, how invigorating for a run!
