11 in 2011...

I am a day behind... but love this!
11 topics in 11 days.
Day 1: New Year Resolutions:
*Finish writing my book.  Even if it never gets published, it's something I have always wanted to do.
*Find a career/job doing something I enjoy.
*Finish our wedding album (I know, over a year late, better late than never)
*Face my biggest fear, step out of my comfort zone
*Run 2 half marathons
*Try one new recipe a month and share it on my blog.
*Plan at least 3 weekends with the girls!  (hopefully more)
*Read a book a month (shouldn't be too hard with my book club)

Day 2:  Favorite Holiday Memory
I have too many to count from all my years growing up... so I will just say a moment from this year that I will never forget.
TL and I showed up really late to Christmas Eve with my dad's side of the family, but I was so glad we made it.  (although sad to leave his family)
My grandma and grandpa had 7 sons.  My dad is one of them.
I have 6 aunts and uncles, and 20 cousins - all healthy & beautiful.
Now, there are 7 babies from those 20 cousins and 8 of us are married.
Needless to say, our family is growing!
On Christmas Eve, every single one of us were there...
84 year old (Happy Birthday today) grandpa stood up to give a toast
"Merry Christmas to the luckiest family in the world"
{We managed to get a picture of ALL of us!}
We are so blessed.  I feel lucky to have not only my dad's side of the family, but my mom's side, my immediate family, and TL's family.
We are surrounded by love, and it makes the holidays really special.

Ummm, I'm totally with you on the wedding album part. We are only 3 months late, but it's nowhere in site yet. Haha. I'm a slacker! I love the picture of the whole family! That's so neat! Love your cute blog!

Fun goals! And you're writing a book?? How exciting!!

I love that family pic too--must have been hard to get that many people into one room! I have 20ish cousins on my mom's side, and I know hard it is to get us all together. Fun for Christmas! :)

We'll have to catch up soon!!

I laughed when I read the wedding album one :) I, too, have not even finished mine (well, given the choices to our photographer for our book) and we got married in August 09. Whoopsie! Need to get that done this year!

Those are all great resolutions!
