Best Self-Tanners?

I have always loved having a little 'color'.
Whether it's natural or not... It just makes me feel better.
But sometimes, when I do the sprays and lotions it just doesn't turn out great.
I have used the Jergens Natural Glow, and it works okay for the face, but not so much the body.

The only other thing I do is the spray tan.  I have done it both in a salon and gone to a friends house who does it by hand.  The only downside:  it can get expensive, and it only lasts for so long!

What self tanners do you use & love??
Let me know and I'll do a post with all your recommendations!

Wish I had good advice here but I don't. I was kinda hoping you'd have some to suggest! I'll definitley be checking back to see what people respond with... I bought the new Jergan's tanning mousse at Target tonight after hearing good things about it. It was voted best self tanner by Allure magazine (or the Allure readers I think) so I'll let you know my personal opinion after I try it! lol

You HAVE to try AntiDote! (Now changing its name to Beautisol). I am the palest natural redhead in the world- so I am obsessed with trying tanners! My absolute favorite is Antidote. #1- it has zero smell! #2- it is super dark without being orange! LOVE it!
Check out my blog to see my pics of it! www.aubutfamily.com

I've used Jergens a few years ago and found it actually worked for me. the one I have now is Loreal Sublime Glow-it works a little bit too, however I can't stand the smell, and it lingers even the next day. when I was looking for a tanner before, I checked out sephora.com and found sevin nyne tanning mist by lindsey lohan (i know lol) and though I didn't try it myself, there wasn't a bad review on there...people all loved it.

I did a post on this too and a lot of people recommended L'Oreal Sublime and I've tried it, I love it! It's gold in color so it's easy to see where you are putting it! They have a Sublime Glow that I use in between and I am a very happy {tan} lady!

I LOVE Loreal Sublime Glow, the airbrush style spray, in Medium. It goes on really even and the color is very natural. It dries quickly so you spray it on, and within 5 minutes, you're good to go. The only downside is it's easy to go through the cans really quickly.
I also like Jergens, but I prefer the Natural Glow Express. The color appears quicker and more noticeably.
Hope this helps!!!

Use the Jergens Natural Foam, not the lotion. It's way easier and virtually fool-proof!

Loreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Spray! That is the answer! I used to do the mystic tanning, but it was like 25 dollars every time. I'd like to tan in a tanning bed, but skin cancer runs in my family, and i'm NOT about to get that. I'm naturally pale, and this is so natural and easy to usE. Dont be afraid to OD on it, I use alot, and have never gotten orange! Good luck!

P.S be careful with your feet! Stand in one place, because if you move around you'll step in the over-spray and it WILL turn the bottom of your feet orange, or just wear socks and tan the top of your feet when your done.

L'Oreal Sublime Bronze - the stuff is amazing and cheap! I don't love the smell but I don't think it's terrible, either.

I do love Jergens... but I think the best one I've tried is L'Occitane's self-tanner. You will never be orange... and the best part is, the lotion actually smells good too!!

I've tried a lot of them... Fusion, Kate Somerville (which has the best color), Bare Minerals. My problem is always the feet area and nothing works well there. I have found if I use the Kate towelettes on my face last it works out great. I am now trying Dr. Denese's glove from QVC. I'll see how that works. :) xoxo

I like Neutrogena foaming self tanner. It looks natural and I never have any streaks or orangey-ness.

When we first moved from NY to CA, I did the spray tan. It was great, but then it got so expensive! I am using a natural moisturizing lotion right now, but just started yesterday. We'll see how that goes!

Being an Avon rep, I tried their spray self-tanner, and I loved it...I bought it religiously, and suddenly it has disappeared. :( So, I tried L'Oreal's spray tan, and turns out I like it even more than the Avon one. It smells better, and it works faster! That's my recommendation. :)

I'm a huge fan of the Banana Boat sunless tanner. I've been using it for years and people always think it's a natural tan. I'm super pale so I start out with the lighter one and then gradually move to the darker color after a few weeks.

I'm so glad someone in the blog-o-sphere is taking on this topic. I have been curious about self-tanners for years, but always chickened out and went for the real thing. Not too healthy on my part :(

I like Aveeno's! It looks really natural and doesn't smell!

I see everyone seems to love the L'Oreal one - I'll have to check that out - I'm a fan of the salon spray ons, but they do get super costly! I have to say that one of my fave do-at-homes is St. Tropez, which they just (finally) started carrying at Sephora!

I also use Jergens for the body, but rotate it and only use it every other day so I don't look orangey--for the face, I use Clinique facial tanner and then use a tiny bit of bronzer--easy as that!

I'm so glad you posted this. I hate tanning in tanning beds because it's terrible for you, but I can't stand being pale either. I have no advice but can't wait to see what everyone else says!

I just did a little post on kind of the same subject. I use at home a combo of the Jergens at night (it's EXTRA smelly I find) and the L’Oreal spay (no idea what it's called) on self tanner by day (not as stinky) until I reach a decent tone. Then I maintain with the L’Oreal a few nights a week. I have SUPER pale skin so I have an easier time looking yellow/ orange and I find that this combo works for me.

I use Benefit Hola powder bronzer on my fave and chest if I need some quick color.

I've used L'Oreal Sublime Bronze too and I think it works really well!

Funny their face version doesn't work for me either, but the body lotion does, I just have to remember to use it regularly, otherwise it's too last minute to see any results.

I always forget to tan until I am ready to head out the door and I am WHITE! So lotions are hard if you don't keep up on them. My best solution is Miami Ink's bronzing spray. It has 30SPF and it works like hairspray for your body! Does rub off on the inside shoulders of my clothes a bit, but washes out. It does dry fast tho, which is great bc I am always late, and don't have time to wait for it to dry.
I recently tried L'oreal's Sublime wipes. Like a baby wipe with tanner. Looked great except the inside of my bicep... Not sure what I am doing wrong, but it streaks there everytime...
Can't wait to read the follow-up post

Get this - I've never actually ever used a self tanner! If I do in the future this is the one I would use, it looks great. Hope you had a great weekend girl! :)

I don't use self-tanner, but my mom does. After trying tons, she discovered Bath and Body Works self tanner called Strike It Gold. She has been using it for years with great results! Everyone complements her tan because of this product.
