I'm Just Curious!

What do you think of the new blog facelift?
One of my best friends, Kelly, over at Just A Girl In A City designed it and made it just for me!  I was so excited, because I am still learning about web page design, and she is definitely more creative than me! :)

I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend!

Also, I am so curious... what do you think about President Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize??

Love the new look!

And as far as obama, I agree with Ashely - he hasn't done anything to win!

I think Obama winning the Nobel Peace Price makes a mockery of the award. He hasn't done anything to deserve it.

Love your blog and all your wedding stuff. I have three daughters, I always need ideas. We went on the Med. cruise two years ago and loved every moment of it.

Congratulations! May you be happy, fruitful, and together forever!

I love your new header... it's so much fun!! And honestly, I have no problem with Obama winning the award. Change doesn't happen over night and although the world might not be drastcially different, I think he has done plenty to start us down the right paths, and what's wrong with recognizing that?

obama has definitely done nothing...

Love the new look!! As far as Obama, being a Democrat, I don't have a huge issue with it, although I was shocked!

Tracy, your blog looks amazing, but then again, it always does :)

and as for Obama, I ask, why on earth would the Nobel Peace Prize Committee give an award to someone who has done nothing? Maybe they know a little something that you all don't? Such as the fact that he is...
-bringing home troops from Iraq
-working with the UN to disarm nuclear weapons everywhere, including the US
-working towards bringing peace to the Middle East
-making environmental issues a priority...

... and i don't know, how about insipiring a nation of people in the hope of real change? how about being the first black president? how about changing how the world sees us as opposed to our previous administration? how about his speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention calling for a more unified America? To say that he has done nothing is grossly underestimating his impact on the world. But then again, I've been an Obama fan since he was just a senator from Chicago, so I may be a tad biased :)

Awwe, I'm loving the new look, Tracy! And I've loved seeing all the gorgeous pictures from your honeymoon! It looks beyond perfect.
I'm an Obama fan, so I had no problem with him winning the Nobel Peace Prize. And I feel like no one ever really paid much attention to the winner before, but now that Obama won, it has turned into a huge issue.
I hope you're having a wonderful weekend =)

His vision, leadership, and initiatives to promote peace and harmony among countries and peoples mired in war and violence deserved nothing less. Congrats to President Obama!

& The new blog is super cute!

As far as Obama winning the Nobel Prize, while maybe I don't understand or know in detail why, I have faith that the committee had enough information that led them to that decision. What I admire is that he:
1.) Accepted graciously & humbly.
2.) Noted that he didn't feel he had earned it yet.
3.) Plans to donate the Million dollar prize to charity.

I have been so bothered by the politically intolerant and ignorant comments that I have seen on the internet in reaction to this. Regardless of whether people voted for him (as President), we have to find some way to unite as a country to put it back together, no matter if you voted for Pres. Obama or not. People are too busy fighting against something to fight FOR something and that is what makes me sad.

here's the deal w/ obama- whether you agree or disagree that he received this award... it was given to him. he didn't seek it or go after it, ya know? i just want ppl to stop talking about it.

My husband pointed out to me that the Nobel nominations are made no later than Feb 1 (if I'm remembering correctly). He had been in office how many days by the time he was nominated? In my personal opinion, not long enough to have accomplished enough to justify nomination, but that is only MY opinion.

Love your blog.... :)

Cute blog layout. I like the dress with the words and all. I don't really have too much of an opinion on it. It seems like the republics hate it, and the democrats think it's fine.

She did a great job and the new header photo looks great!

As far as Obama getting the Nobel Peace Prize, I have mixed feelings. On one hand I think it is a little ironic considering that we're still at war and he is gearing up to send more troops into battle. On the other hand, I feel that he has made some great strides in promoting peace among war torn countries.

I do think that he was very humble in his acceptance of the award and I give him credit for donating the money to charity.

Love the new blog header. I think it's kind of bizarre that Obama won the prize. It's a pretty prestigious thing and you have to do something that is out of this world amazing. I just don't see that he's done that yet. I don't see that he's done all that much at all for the last 9 months. And like the girl above wrote the nominations had to be in by the time he was in office only 12 days. Seems kind of fishy to me.

I am new to your blog, so I never did see it's old format! So, nothing to compare it to but I do love the layout!!

As far as Obama . . . Nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize had to be in by Feb 10th 2009. He was only in office for approximately 21days. I am not aware of anything spectacular or completed during this short time period. Yes, his platform of hope and change is inspiring, but nothing has come to fruitiation as of yet, and in reality it would be awhile before his or any other presidents initiatives could be put into place. Therefore, to me, it seems like a travisty to those that were nominated that did not win the Prize and that had truly completed something tangible and worthwhile.

I really like the new blog design!

I want so badly to go for the three column layout... Jealous!!

As for President Obama... I think the award is entirely too early in his presidency...

LOVE the new design---very cute!!

And, I have been sooo troubled by this Nobel Peace Prize. I do not agree with the whole "he was nominated 2 weeks after winning the election" and he was awarded for basically saying the things he wanted to do to bring peace to America. I'm sorry, if he truly does make all of his promises come true, then by all means, I would personally want to hand him this honor, but from what I've seen so far, it has just devalued the worth of the prize.

I love the layout! Super cute banner! :) As for the award, I dunno.. I kinda feel badly for him for all the crap he's getting b/c it's not like he asked for it. I'm sure he was honored but also kinda went "aw hell.. this is gonna be interesting publicity.." No matter what, I think he's our President and we should be happy that our very own prez won a freaking PEACE prize! That's huge! *sigh* I just want a celebrity to do something super stupid so the whole thing will leave the news.. haha..

The new header is very chic!

As for Obama, I agree with a lot of previous comments. It was a little premature, but poll people to see how many NPP winners they can name in 5 minutes. I can't besides the two other presidents they have discussed on the news.
He's a humble man, and I think that so far, he's pointed us in the right direction - and the money is going to charity.

The blog looks great! Love the layout, very chic! As for the big O, Obama, that is, I don't know. I suppose it's fine. Wow, I'm boring. I really like the guy, but I think even he was kinda "eh" about it, ha!

Love it! SO cute!
I think him winning the peace prize was a bit premature. I would like to have seen how things played out and then award him for the successes and not just the intentions to succeed.

Ohhh I love it Tracy, so pretty! I need to research this more, I don't think I know a lot to hold a valid opinion. From what I know though I think it is a good thing...I mean, that is an honor so people shouldn't complain if our president is getting something good, right?!

Just to clarify - yes, the nomination was early in his presidency, but the actual voting wasn't until a week or so ago, so if he hadn't done anything in his presidency up until last week, they wouldn't have voted for him. The decision was not made in February, his name was brought up as a nominee in February. Big difference.
