Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!
In honor of the big day, I thought I would share a few of my favorite costumes from years past:

These are costumes my dad made.  We are
The Three Blind Mice
I am the little one - a little grumpy because they wouldn't give me more candy.

This is another set that my dad made for us. We are
Crayons
I am the little yellow one - Juju in red, Kel in blue.
(Notice the chocolate bar in my right hand... that explains the better attitude!)

This is when we were super little - I am the pumpkin, juju is the bunny, and Kel is the princess! :)

Me as a cat! :)

Hope you have a safe and FUN halloween!
Can't wait to see everyone's pictures.

Thankful Thursdays

Happy Thursday... which means its almost the weekend, and almost
Halloween!
 I'm Thankful for...
The fact that TL doesn't say anything about my side of the closet... it looks like a war zone in there - you can't even see the floor.  But sometimes I like it that way :)

A mom who constantly checks my blog and twitter to see what I am up to.  The other day I posted something on my twitter about Maria Shriver breaking the law - a few hours later my mom sent me and email about her an Maria Shriver being the same age - and the fact that Maria is two days younger than her.  I love you, Mom!

A new job! - more on that later!

Amazing parents who always watch the puppies when TL and I leave town. :)

Wine country... we are headed there today!!! - more on that later, too!

Michael Jackson Medley

This video is crazy... at first it looks like a group of 6 different people.  But look closely, its the same guy - Sam Tsui- who sang all of the parts and did this acappela.  He and his friend created this by using different camera tricks.  Isn't it incredible?

Apple Hill Halloween Fun

I have been begging asking TL to take me to Apple Hill so I can see the beautiful hills and smell all of the wonderful trees and pumpkins, and last week we took the puppies and headed for the hills!  It's about an hour drive from our house, so it was a nice little day trip.
It was a warm & beautiful day, and so much fun! :)
Here are a few pictures!

A completely posed family picture. :)

In lack of having kids... we pose our dogs with pumpkins!
Happy Halloweiner!

It was so beautiful and it smelled like a giant pine tree, mmm!
We took the pups off the leash and went for a walk around the beautiful property.

They were wiped out from all of the running around!

I loved going because it really put me in the halloween mood!
Do you do anything special to feel festive?

Wishful Wednesdays

'I wish' .... I was six years old and going trick or treating, and my costume would be _____!
A Witch
Not a seriously scary witch, but I would want to be all decked out - broom, green face, and all! :)
I know it's typical and not original, but I can't help it... I think little witches are so cute!

Ever Wish You Were A Dog?

Do you ever have those days where you constantly worry?  And by worry, I mean worry about everything that is completely out of your control and even the things that happened in the past.   For some reason I am having one of those days... it's a day where I looked at my dogs and felt a little envious because they have no worry.  Silly, right?

My dad would tell me this is me being a "worry wart"
What do you do to calm your worries?
Are you worried about anything?
Right now, I am hoping a little rest will help me out!

Honeymoon: Florence, Italy

Florence was the next beautiful stop on our honeymoon!
We only had one day to spend here... so of course we hit a few big sights, and spent the rest of the day shopping and looking around at all of the amazing leather stores.
Sadly, we didn't take as many pictures... I was too preoccupied with the shopping ;)
The replica of the David statue
Gorgeous architecture in every direction!
I loved the designs on this building... not to mention, it's huge!
Taking a little break from the shopping :)
There were so many cool leather shops.  We ended up finding a couple of great stores with clocks for our nephews.  I also found a great purse!  It was so fun spending the day in beautiful Florence!

Getting Ready On The Big Day!

Getting ready for our wedding was such a fun experience.
We were lucky enough to be staying in this beautiful Villa on the property of Arden Hills, which is the place we got married.  We had it for 3 nights, including the wedding night.  All of my closest girlfriends were there with me, along with my mom, MIL, and sisters.  There were quite a few of us, but we had 4 big rooms and it was like a giant sleep-over!  It was so much fun.

This is the outside of the Villa

We had a homemade breakfast prepared by an in house chef all 3 mornings.  It was delicious and so relaxing to wake up to!

All hanging out in my bed - chatting and laughing before I went to sleep for my last single night!

After breakfast we got started with some toasts before getting all ready!

We had two hairstylists there to do everyone's hair.  This is me getting mine done :)

The girls fixing up their make up... we were spread out all over the place!  The entire Villa was taken over by girls, clothes, make up, champagne, and pearls!

Everyone was decked out in pearls & the silk robes I got them!  So cute!

And then my dad helped me get all strapped in my wedding dress!  He's an amazing seamstress, so we let him do all of the buttoning and clipping.  (He made my sister's and my prom dresses) :)

And once in my dress... the picture spree began! :)

It was the best day of my life.
 Fun, beautiful, romantic, meaningful.
Can I do it over again? :)

Thankful Thursdays

Thursday already... whoa!
I'm thankful for...
Jury Duty being over!  I sat in that room for 8 hours... but its done  (at least for 18 months)
My dad's big retirement party tomorrow night... my mom, sisters and I are going all out! ;)
New opportunities, hopefully I'll be able to explain more next week!
The support of my husband no matter what.  It's nice always having someone to lean on.
The BIG girls weekend coming up in a few weeks with some of my favorite girlfriends... LA or bust!!
MEETING and hanging out with the guys from Rascal Flatts in their "shack" after their show on Sunday... I know, I have some explaining to do!
My nephew, Ryan. Just when I thought he couldn't get any cuter...
My mom.  Because she has a bigger heart than anyone I have ever met.  Ever.
What are you thankful for??

Wishful Wednesdays

It's wishful Wednesday... :)
"I wish I was going on vacation tomorrow and I would be going to..."
MAUI
Because it is beautiful there.  It's tropical.  It brings back fabulous memories.
I would love to go soon... and it wouldn't feel right to be there with out my family, so I wish they would come with me!

Honeymoon: Rome, Italy

Rome, Italy
was the next stop on our European adventure :)

Rome is beautiful and full of so much history.
On the cruise ship we were on, you could choose different excursions to go on at the different ports.  The excursions can be expensive, so TL and I decided to just do excursions in Rome and Florence.  We went to the Roman Coliseum, The Trevi Fountain, St. Peters Basilica, The Vatican, & The Sistine Chapel.  There was so much to see and so much to learn.
My favorite in Rome was the painted ceiling of The Sistine Chapel.  It was incredible!

The Roman Coliseum... this thing is so old, it's hard to believe it is still standing!
The Trevi Fountain... incredible!
We were pretty stoked about a big yummy Italian lunch!! mmmm...
Such a tourist...
Where the Pope lives.
The ceiling of the Vatican.  Beautiful & overwhelming!
Outside St. Peter's Basilica.
This one was taken from our cruise ship, and I loved it!

Rome was gorgeous.  My cousin Greyson lived there for a year and I heard so much about it.   I was so excited to see it!

Thankful Thursdays

I made a new little "Thankful Thursdays" picture!
I just got Picasa and I am learning how to use it :)
Feel free to steal this if you want to use it too!
I am thankful for our house and the fun I have decorating it.  It has definitely become my home.
I am thankful for my husbands laugh - every time it makes me laugh too.
The rain.  I was hoping it would last all week.  But i'll take two days of it anytime.
Family dinners.  We had the whole gang over last night and it was so fun.
My cuddly and crazy wiener dogs Maximus & Zeus.
My BFF Jenny.  It's the first time in 4 years we have lived in the same city.  We've remained friends through it all.
Friends that I can talk to about anything.  I am lucky to have quite a few of them.
My blog and all of the girls I have met through this.  I've learned so much from all of you!

Wishful Wednesdays

It's Wednesday, already!!  I am loving the weather changes here in Northern California, and todays "Wishful Wednesday topic is..
"I wish I had one particular talent, and it would be..."
Singing.
I am probably pretty close to being the worlds worst singer.  But I do it anyways... sometimes I sing in the car and I have to turn up the music because I don't want to hear my own voice!
If I could sound like anyone, it would be Carrie Underwood.  I adore her voice!

My Little Ry-Guy

Every time I see my little nephew, Ry-Guy, I fall in love with him more and more.  He is over 5 months old now, I can't believe it.  Now he is mr. smiley pants, giggly pants, he rolls over, bounces, eats rice cereal and flirts!
He is the cutest little baby ever, I just love him.  Here are some pictures:

Big smiles for Auntie Tracy!

Wearing Auntie's sunglasses!

He is such a little bundle of joy.  If I ever have a bad day, all I have to do is look at a picture of this little guy on my cell phone - and I smile! :)

Honeymoon: Capri, Italy

Our first visit on Italian land from the cruise ship was on the
beautiful island of Capri!
We rented a moped for a few hours and traveled all over this tiny island.  They have little stores and cafes everywhere, so after we got off our little moped we ate a snack and looked around at the shops! Here are a few of the pictures from our adventure.
Our little moped!!  He definitely drove, the streets were very narrow, but it was the best way to see the island!

Isn't the water just gorgeous!?

Great shot of the island!
Another beautiful view from the moped :)

He said he would have a beer, and they brought him the whole keg!  We couldn't stop laughing :)
The boat ride back to our ship!

Capri, Italy is stunning.
If you ever have the chance to go there, do it!  It was a beautiful, romantic little getaway off of the ship and we loved it!

I'm Just Curious!

What do you think of the new blog facelift?
One of my best friends, Kelly, over at Just A Girl In A City designed it and made it just for me!  I was so excited, because I am still learning about web page design, and she is definitely more creative than me! :)

I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend!

Also, I am so curious... what do you think about President Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize??
