53 Days until Our Wedding Day!
The invitations are out. I can't believe it. Time goes by so quickly, and I haven't taken one day for granted. TL and I are so lucky. We are really loving being engaged. (engagement pics here) Everything has really fallen into place with our wedding. We both have supportive and loving parents who are excited and helpful in all aspects (I swear - we are so dang lucky), we have fabulous family & friends who are going to make the day so memorable, and we know everything will be just fine... because it's our wedding day, the celebration of our new family -
the two of us.

Here is what I haven't blogged about yet...
the HONEYMOON!
We are going to Europe - Barcelona, Venice, Geneva, Interlaken, Lucerne, & London. (Also, a 7 night Mediterranean Cruise... Capri, Rome, Naples, Florence, Nice, Provence)
Have I mentioned enough how truly blessed we are? I have never been to Europe. TL has quite a few times. We have over 3 weeks to get around - it will be a perfect first journey for us. We are flying between countries instead of taking the train to save time (with the exception of Switzerland - we are taking the train through those three cities).
Any suggestions? If you live in Europe, what are the must - do things? Relaxing spots? Romantic spots?
It's the honeymoon of a lifetime with the guy of my dreams... I am one lucky girl.

OMG...!
You guys are so cute, I love the happiness that your blog shares...it always brightens my day :)
I've never been to the places you are honeymooning in...but they all sound absolutely amazing, and so romantic too! My parents have been to Capri. They rented a boat for the day and drove around the Mediterranean...their pictures are spectacular! I'm so excited for you!
WOW, what an incredible honeymoon!!
Can you pack me in your suitcase so I can come too! Have a great time. That has to be so exiting!
Oh wow....your European honeymoon sounds amazing.....you are going to have absolutely THE BEST TIME!!!
We stay at Villefranche in the south of France and many cruise ships stop there - it's 15 mins from Nice. I am guessing you will just have a day in Nice - my suggestion would be to take a train ride along the coast - I think Monaco is just 27 mins by train from Nice and the train ride is stunning, you literally are overlooking the Med the whole time!
I will be in Florence in 18 days time - woo hoo! Florence is just beautiful, easy to get around - gorgeous.
I love Rome, it's probably my favourite Roman city - must-sees are St Peters Square, the Trevi fountain and the Colosseum - all 3 in a day are very do-able.
The train ride around Switzerland will be wonderful :)
Never been to Barcelona but my husband was there in May and LOVED it.
A friend of mine spent her honeymoon in Capri - and actually a cousin of mine got married there last year - it sounded AMAZING!
And September is just a wonderful month weather-wise in Europe - before my daughter started school, we always went then.....the blazing hot weather has gone and it is just perfect.
Bon voyage!!
Your engagement pics are so beautiful! I'm so excited for you! I have never been to Europe either...but like you my BF has been there quite a few times. He's promised to take me around there one day! I know you'll love it!
oh.wow!!! your honeymoon sounds absolutely terrific!!! and taking the train through switzerland...well that in itself sounds like vacation enough for me!!!
love your engagement photos!
you are going to have sooo much fun! so excited for you-
if you get the chance, please please please please please go to lake como and lake lugano. i've written about swimming in lugano once or twice, and the shopping and boat tours in como are amazing as well.

yayyyyy! That sounds amazing! I have never been to Europe either! What a great adventure for you both! ;)
How exciting!!! I love Europe...I grew up in London so it's one of my favorite places on earth! You're going to have the best time! XOXO
Awesome. You will have SO much fun in Europe! Soak it all in and just enjoy yourself. Stop at local spots, walk EVERYWHERE - small side streets, just exist. Congrats to you both!
Aww that is so great! Congrats to you! I've never been to Europe but I so would love to go to Italy.

I can never get enough of your photos! i love them! they are so perfect, you two are so fabulous together, I love it. I am so happy for you!
ummm you should totally go to Paris while you are in Switzerland!!!
You are going to have an amazing time, Capri is so pretty, Rome is amazing ...ok all of Italy is so stunning. There is so much history and beauty all over, you will fall in love over and over and over again.
I am so happy for you. A beautiful girl, meets a great guy, they have great friends and family, are going to have a perfect wedding and then go honeymoon for 3 weeks! You deserve it ALL!
Oh my! You better take lots of pics...make us feel like we've been there too:)
Tracy, make sure that when you go to Rome you go to Vatican City and you DON'T go on Sunday because the Sistine Chapel is CLOSED(That is what happened to me!) Make sure you throw a penny in the Fontana de Trevi (its good luck so you go back!) Look for the Spanish steps-we didn't find them which was really disappointing! Take the audio tour of the Coliso.
In Florence, climb to the top of the Duomo, it is a GORGEOUS view-it will be hot and take a while but it is totally worth it to see the entire city! Also in Florence, cross the Pote Vecchio and go to Palazzo Pitti, the gardens are beautiful and they have really cool museums inside including a clothes gallery. Don't miss the David in the Accademia!
Buy a mask in Venice! They are beautiful and you will regret it if you don't buy one!
When you are in Italia make sure to eat AS MUCH GELATO as possible! It's just not the same here and you will miss it! :-)
See Wicked when you are in London if you can, My mom saw it in February and then saw it in SF after and said that it was MUCH better in London.
I hope that helped and wasn't repetitive of other people's comments! ;-) I stayed in Florence last summer and LOVED LOVED LOVED it and want to go back! Let me know if I can help in any other way!
I studied in Rome, and let me tell you--the gelato is AMAZING.
You must go to Old Bridge Gelateria. It is in the Vatican City and right next to St. Peter's Basilica. This is like nothing you are going to taste in California! Here is a link: http://community.roughguides.com/planning/journalEntryDining.asp?JournalID=60389&EntryID=34484&n=Old+Bridge+Gelateria.
There is so much to see in Naples, Florence, and Rome, soak it up as much as you can and take a ton of pictures! Have a fantastic time!
goodddddddness. i am so excited for you! i can say that after living in italy, capri is the most magical place on earth-make sure you go in the blue grotto! nice is cool, but cannes is A LOT cleaner, so try to hop down the road a bit and stay there. in rome, the best gelato is near the vatican (but not tooo close) and its called OLD BRIDGE, hands down, its amazing.
Aww... congratulations!! You really are a beautiful couple!!
I just found your blog from 20SB and I am kinda kinda in love with it... (and your wedding shoes.) haha
Oh my gosh that sounds like a perfect honeymoon!!
Just found your blog, so adorable. Hope you don't mind a new follower :)
I just found your blog. Congrats on your upcoming excitement. You are very lucky. I lived in England for 3 years and was able to do my fair share of traveling. I love Italy - you will be in heaven while there. I love florence, but found the food most amazing in naples. I also adore London so much. I think you are going on the best honeymoon ever!!! Have a great time and take tons of photos. oh get some china while in London and some english toffee and some tea from Fortnum and Mason. also if you have the time take a side trip to Bath while in London and if you have more time get to the Cotswolds it is like a fairy tale there...love your blog. congrats and one more thing.....the man he is a keeper not only for the fab honeymoon but for those to die for shoes!!!!
